Morgandale
Meadows Summer Camp
For those of you new to Morgandale Meadows, we opened our business in 1991. We raise, train and sell Morgans, Clydesdales and Morgan/Clydesdale Crosses. Until this year, we have been actively giving horse drawn weddings, doing parades and also giving riding lessons. We are now focusing on giving lessons and taking children in for the farm experience of our camp. Although we have a couple boarders, most of the 11 horses on the farm are ours and are used for our activities. We
are located about 20 mi. to the East of Frankenmuth, and are bordered
on three sides by State land. We
will be offering overnight camping, from Sunday night until Fri. afternoon,
from the weeks of June 8th until the final week of Aug. 11th. Cost
per child has stayed the same as previous years and will still
be only $350 for the week. This will include meals and their activities
for the week. Space will be limited to 10 or less girls or boys a
week. Our weeks will be determined by the number of applicants and
ages as we will continue to separate them into groups their own ages.
You can find the weeks we still have openings on the application page
as we are ready to start our first session on the 22nd!
Your camper will learn to care for, as well as assist in training
a horse, so their riding skills will grow as their basic knowledge
of horses grow. They will have hands on with the horses, in hopes
that they will have a better understanding of what horses think and
why they act like they do!! Riding of course, will be according
to their skills. All care will be given to try to match up levels
as well as age in each group of campers. No one will be left behind
as individual attention will be given to each camper. Our campers
help with feeding, watering, and all the farm chores (even collecting
eggs from the chickens and feeding the new baby calves) Day camp will run 4 consecutive days, Mon - Thurs. 9-5. Your camper will do all the activities with the overnight campers during the day, and will receive lunch and snacks while here. This includes riding, swimming, crafts and hikes. Cost for the day camp is $225 per camper, per week. We are excited to welcome our campers for the 2008 season. Space is very limited, so make sure you send in your application and deposits soon!!! We try very hard to schedule campers according to age and abilities and really appreciate your help in getting the application here early so that process can be done in a timely fashion. Our supply orders need to be in as early as possible. To help us with the scheduling, applications should be received prior to May 12th. Any received after May 12th will be put into a week where the early registration campers are scheduled. I know you understand how much preparation is done the last weeks before camp begins, so again, I truly appreciate your help and understanding in getting them in as quickly as possible. Once again - you will find weeks that still have openings and ages assigned to those weeks on the applications page. As always, applications received after May 31st will be on a space available only basis! But hurry - make sure you get the week that you want by sending in your applications today!
Looking forward to hearing from you soon!!! God's blessings to all of you!!!!! Kathy Meyer Owner and Supervisor 4330
